Program Description: The Electrical Engineering Technology program is designed to prepare you for continuing your education in a bachelor’s degree program in a wide range of engineering specialties. The program develops knowledgeable and skilled technologists who can work with engineers and technicians to implement electronic designs and perform engineering tasks such as collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, prototyping, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various electronic systems. Students can acquire the associate level Certified Electronics Technician (CET) certification.

To learn more about our program you can schedule a visit to tour our facilities, meet our faculty and interact with students. Coordinate your visit by contacting Bill Croft, Program Chair, at 812-298-2486 or wcorft1@ivytech.edu

Our Graduates: Graduates of the Engineering Technology program will have two options.  Students will develop the science, technology, engineering and math needed to enter the workforce as an electrical engineering technician, or they can transfer to a four-year electrical engineering technology program.  If you would like to continue your education after completing your Ivy Tech degree, we have several four-year transfer partnerships. Talk to your program chair for more information about transfer opportunities!
