Program Description: The Agriculture program is designed to prepare you for a career as a farm operator/manager or as an employee of an agriculture retailer, supplier or manufacturer. Students complete coursework in seven core courses that cover all aspects of production agriculture and choose seven elective courses that allow a specialization in crop production, horticulture, livestock production, or Ag economics.

Precision Ag is a new and emerging field that utilizes GPS positioning to control planters, sprayers and combines in the field. Students choose one of three areas of specialization: ag equipment service, installation and maintenance of GPS guidance and application control equipment, or using mapping software to help producers maximize their production systems.

Our Graduates: Graduates of the Agriculture program are prepared to enter the workforce or transfer to a 4-year university to pursue a Bachelor Degree in Agriculture or related field. Students wishing to transfer to Purdue should pursue the AS degree track.

Graduates of the Precision Ag program are prepared to enter the workforce as a Precision Ag Technician or Specialist.
