Program Description:
The Law Enforcement program at VU is one of the largest programs at the University. Our program has a two-part focus. Our primary focus is to prepare students for entry level positions within law enforcement and the criminal justice system in Indiana and across the country. Our secondary focus is to prepare students wishing to continue their educational endeavors.
The Law Enforcement program is unique from other universities. We focus on achieving a balance between classroom instruction and hands-on training. Students learn about police operations, forensic science, investigations, criminal psychology, law, and other pertinent topics. They learn skills through hands-on activities like processing a crime scene, police vehicle operations, creating criminal profiles, and engaging in community service projects.
