Career Clusters: Mechanical Repair & Precision Crafts
Students will be prepared for positions in body shops. Training includes panel replacement and repair, frame and unibody straightening, refinishing and estimating. The auto body repair program introduces students to the auto body industry and develops skills, work habits and attitudes that are necessary for entry level employment in the trade. Students are taught the use of hand and power tools, metal working and filling dents, welding, plastic and fiberglass repair, refinishing and spot repair, and safety procedures. Students have the opportunity to use the latest equipment in frame straightening and fresh-air painting. DOE Code 5514
